Angry Birds Be Gone: Hold Me Back!

A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.
- Proverbs 29:11

One of the worst things we can do is let our anger get the best of us. Once it takes over it truly takes over. All you see is red. Your blood pressure goes up and you start thinking irrationally and doing things irrationally. Why? Because you are letting something else get the best of you.

A foolish person allows the anger to get the best of them. Allows them to get to the point that the rage is all they see. Have you to see beyond the flame and see what it is trying to cause you to burn down.
Think on the fruits of the spirit. One of them is gentleness. Your angry spirit brings on wrath. It goes against what the spirit does in your life. Anger and peace can't exist at the same time.

A wise man knows to hold bake. Think of the destruction that your anger can cause. Is it righteous anger or is it your own. Do you have the ability to hold it back? It is so important that you do. There is wisdom in it.

Angry Birds Be Gone: Got Anger Bro?

Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
- Ephesians 4:26-27

Lets define anger: Anger is an emotion characterized by antagonism toward someone or something you feel has deliberately done you wrong.

Let's do a survey. In the last 24 hours have you felt angry? How about 48? 72 hours?
What caused you to be angry? Was it justified anger? Do you feel that you had every reason to be mad? How did you respond? Did you act out in anger? Did you say something you shouldn't have?

Anger can be a good thing and it can be a bad thing. It really depends on your motive. The right type of anger directed towards evil. The injustices that we see. Anger at ungodliness. Anger should never be malicious. It should not be turned into something else. We need to exercise great caution and there are limits to how long we should allow it to go.

The word says don't allow the sun to go down on your anger. If anger is left unchecked, unattended it can grow into wrath and bitterness. We can not allow it to go that way. There is a cap. A limit and a good boundary for us is to not allowing the day for us to end and we are angry.
If anger is not checked it can turn into vengeance. Take the word from Romans 12:17-18 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Not more angry birds. Set them free.
